Cookies and Other Trackers Policy

Version 3.3 · In force from November 16, 2026

1. What this is about

A tracker is information stored on your device (cookie, browser local storage, session storage) and read back during your visits. Under Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act (Loi Informatique et Libertés), your prior consent is required, except for trackers that are strictly necessary for the service you request.

2. Strictly necessary trackers (no consent required)

They allow you to log in, to secure your account and your payments, and to remember the settings you choose.

3. Payment

When you pay or open a seller account, the Stripe payment module places trackers that are necessary for payment security and fraud prevention. They are governed by Stripe’s policy (stripe.com/fr/legal/cookies-policy).

4. Embedded third-party content

Some listings embed a virtual tour provided by a third-party service (for example Matterport or Kuula). It is only loaded after you click on it, which constitutes your agreement: the provider may then place its own trackers, governed by its own policy.

5. Audience measurement and advertising

As of the date of this version, Spotitem does not use any audience measurement or advertising trackers. Should it use any in the future, they would only be placed after your consent, obtained through a banner allowing you to accept or refuse with equal ease, and you could change your choice at any time via the “Manage my cookies” link in the footer. This policy would be updated beforehand.

6. Error detection

Spotitem does not currently use any external service to detect technical errors. Should such a service be introduced, this policy will be updated before it is switched on.

7. Your settings

You can delete trackers at any time from your browser settings; deleting the strictly necessary trackers logs you out and erases your preferences.
